decay and renewal
Decay and Renewal is a photo story that highlights the transition from late fall to winter in Battery Kemble Park in Washington, DC. This collection of photographs explores themes of change and loneliness with glimmers of hope, emotions often felt during the season. The story, shot digitally, features details of decay and textures found throughout a forest.
North Carolina BOTANICAL GARDEN
The NCBG is a conservation garden that grows native plants and provides habitat for local wildlife. In this short series, I photographed a white-eyed vireo, a bee, and summer flowers to highlight the garden’s biodiversity.
BIRDS IN THE CITY
Birds in city environments often find ways to adapt to human-made structures, nesting and resting on top of buildings and on towers. In this series, I wanted to capture the resilience and adaptability of birds with an emphasis on composition, lines, and contrast.
